New Canaan, CT
to ISP Airport.

New Canaan sits north of I-95 between Stamford and Norwalk, with its own Metro-North branch line into town. New Canaan's village center, along Elm Street and Main Street, is a few minutes from the Merritt Parkway via Route 123 or Route 106.

The drive to ISP starts down Route 123 or Route 106 to the Merritt Parkway; after that it's the Merritt and the Hutchinson into the Bronx, the Throgs Neck Bridge and the Long Island Expressway east. It's about 75 mi. With light traffic you're there in about 1 hr 25 min; on a busy day plan on 1 hr 45 min, mostly because of the Long Island Expressway.

ISP ranks farthest of the six airports from New Canaan; HPN is nearest at about 30 min. Enter the address above for the fixed fare from New Canaan — tolls included.

ISP is small, so 75 minutes at the airport usually covers a domestic flight. From New Canaan, book the pickup about 3 hr before departure.

90 minutes at the airport is usually enough at Islip; the Long Island Expressway is the variable. On snowy days, holiday weekends and summer Fridays we'll suggest leaving earlier.

Take the New Canaan Branch from New Canaan to Grand Central (changing at Stamford), then the LIRR toward Ronkonkoma (usually changing at Jamaica) and a shuttle to the terminal — a long day.

The car takes 1 hr 25 min – 1 hr 45 min and starts at your front door.
