Terminal B or C? How drop-off and pickup work at the rebuilt LaGuardia β with pickup times from Connecticut and Westchester.
LaGuardia has been completely rebuilt over the last decade. The old Central Terminal Building is gone; today almost every passenger uses one of two modern terminals β Terminal B for most airlines and Terminal C for Delta β with the historic Marine Air Terminal (Terminal A) handling charter and private flights.
Nearly every flight is domestic (plus Canada and the Caribbean), so 2 hours at the airport is enough. And from most of Fairfield County and southern Westchester, LaGuardia is one of the quickest big airports to reach β across the Whitestone Bridge and along the Grand Central Parkway.
LaGuardia is simple compared with JFK: if you're flying Delta, it's Terminal C; almost every other airline is in Terminal B.
| Terminal | Airlines |
|---|---|
| Terminal B | American Airlines, United, Southwest, JetBlue, Air Canada, Frontier and Porter β a long, two-concourse terminal connected by sky bridges. |
| Terminal C | Delta, including Delta Connection and Delta's international flights to Canada and the Caribbean. |
| Terminal A (Marine Air Terminal) | The 1930s art-deco terminal on Bowery Bay, now used for charter and private aviation. |
Airlines change terminals from time to time β your boarding pass or airline app is the final word.
Your chauffeur takes the Whitestone Bridge (or the RFK/Triborough from the west side) and the Grand Central Parkway, then follows the signs for Terminal B or C to the departures level.
The airport roads themselves move well since the rebuild. The traffic is on the way in: the Grand Central Parkway and the Whitestone approach are busiest on weekday mornings from about 6 to 9 and on Friday afternoons.
Terminal B is long. If you're on American or United, tell us the airline and we'll drop you at the right end of the curb to save the walk.

We track your flight and the 1 hour of free waiting starts when you land. Most pickups are curbside at the arrivals level of Terminal B or C: text when you have your bags, and the chauffeur pulls up.
LaGuardia enforces the curb rules strictly, so cars can't wait at the curb for long β that's why we time the pickup to your bags, not just your landing. If you'd like to be met inside with a name sign, ask for meet & greet.
Coming home to Connecticut or Westchester after a late flight? At night the drive is often close to the bottom of the usual range.
LaGuardia is the one major New York airport with no rail connection. The AirTrain LaGuardia project was cancelled in 2023, so the public options are buses: the free Q70 LaGuardia Link from the subway and LIRR at Woodside and Jackson Heights, or the M60 from Harlemβ125th Street.
From Connecticut and Westchester that means a train into the city or to Harlem, then a bus with your luggage β at least two changes. That's why most travelers from our towns take a car to LaGuardia.
