Scarsdale is one of our busiest Westchester pickup areas — from Fox Meadow and Greenacres to Edgemont, Heathcote and the streets around Scarsdale Village and the Metro-North station. The Hutchinson River Parkway on the east side of town and the Bronx River Parkway on the west give two quick ways south.

Leaving Scarsdale, the car heads onto the Hutchinson River Parkway or the Bronx River Parkway. From there to ISP it's the Hutchinson or I-95 to the Throgs Neck Bridge, then east on the Long Island Expressway. Door to door it's about 56 mi, usually 1 hr 15 min – 2 hr, and the place that decides your timing is the Long Island Expressway.

ISP is small, so 75 minutes at the airport usually covers a domestic flight. From Scarsdale, book the pickup about 3 hr 15 min before departure.

Islip's lines are short; the drive out on the Expressway is what needs the cushion. On snowy days, holiday weekends and summer Fridays we'll suggest leaving earlier.

Take the Harlem Line from Scarsdale to Grand Central, then the LIRR toward Ronkonkoma (usually changing at Jamaica) and a shuttle to the terminal — a long day.

There's one terminal at MacArthur, so pickup and drop-off are simple.
